He graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, with a degree in Finance in 1991. Tod is involved in a variety of community activities including current President of Lower Cape May Baseball Boosters, Board Member of Lower Cape May Little League, Board Member for the Lower Cape May Regional High School Athletic Hall of Fame and coaches various youth sports teams.

Tod was born and raised locally and resides in Cape May, NJ, with his wife Kristin and children TJ, Evan and Nora. He enjoys baseball, golf, skiing and spending time with his family.
